A man has been charged after police discovered more than 340 cannabis plants at a Watford address.

Herts Police had been responding to reports of a suspected cannabis factory in the Cassiobury area when they entered the building and found the set-up, on June 30.

Hundreds of plants were confiscated and a “linked vehicle” nearby led the officers to also seize £2,000 in cash after a search.

A man in his 20s has been charged with production of cannabis and possession of criminal property in connection with the discovery.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance.

“This is the perfect example of why it’s important to report your concerns and suspicions to us,” Watford Police said via social media.
