Watford’s Police have announced they will be targeting High Street anti-social behaviour in new "priorities".

After consulting with locals, the Watford Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) has made anti-social behaviour in the town centre one of its three priorities.

Alcohol-related behaviour, drug use and supply, and related retail theft in the High Street are listed as specific focusses within the High Street.

The priorities for the next three months of policing, announced yesterday (August 8), also includes anti-social behaviour in the communal areas of flats in and around the ring road and vehicle crime in the West Watford area.

Sergeant Brad Cross said: “Thank you to everyone who submitted their views; we really value your feedback as it means we can ensure we are focusing on the issues that affect residents most and allocate our resources accordingly.”

Hertsmere Police also announced their priorities, which include reducing anti-social behaviour and increasing feelings of safety across parks and open spaces in Bushey.

Tackling rural crime and anti-social behaviour across Radlett and Aldenham, including the illegal use of off-road vehicles in fields, was also highlighted.

To set the priorities the SNT reviewed comments submitted by the public via the Echo feedback platform and OWL messaging service, responses from partners in the community, and “police led intelligence”.
