A Rickmansworth woman will have her hand cast in metal to commemorate people with epilepsy at a public art installation in London.
Emma Griffith was chosen to represent the charity Epilepsy Society on the Donor Wall of hand casts at University College London (UCL) in London.
The 34-year-old has already lent her hand for a mould, which will be cast in brass or aluminium and displayed at the university.

The wall celebrates organisations who have supported the university’s research and projects, such as the Epilepsy Society, which has worked with the university’s hospital to research the condition.
Emma was chosen as representative after the charity ran a competition to find who had benefited from its services.
She received treatment at the charity’s centre in Chalfont St Peter since she was a teenager, but is now seizure-free for over five years.
She said: “I was thrilled to be asked to represent the charity as part of the wall and it was very exciting to spend time at UCL having my hand cast and seeing where it will eventually be displayed.
“I feel proud and privileged to be the hand of the Epilepsy Society.”
