A man was taken to hospital after a crash with a parked Ford flipped a car onto its roof.

The Harebreaks, in North Watford, was closed yesterday afternoon (January 11) while the damaged car was recovered and emergency services worked at the scene.

Herts Police had been called out with reports of a damage-only crash in which "a vehicle had ended up on its roof after crashing into a stationary vehicle", at 3.30pm.

A man was taken to hospital to be assessed before The Harebreaks was reopened by 5.30pm and the vehicle was recovered.

Hertfordshire County Council Highways confirmed the road was closed in both directions, between Woodside and Middle Way, shortly afterwards.
