A local school is “proud” to share photos from its new sixth form after the official opening.

On January 23, Kings Langley Secondary School held an event to launch the building after its popular sixth-form become oversubscribed in September 2024, amid its highest ever number of applications.

It includes a lounge area, kitchen/café, study space, garden/BBQ area, meeting rooms, and offices, as well as a large multi-use space for lectures, exhibitions, group activities, and assemblies.

During the inauguration, head of sixth form James Tubb said: “The Kings Langley sixth form is a testament to our collective belief in the power of education to transform lives.

“It is a commitment to providing students with the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to excel in academic pursuits and beyond.

“This building is a tangible asset which represents so much more.”

Although the new sixth form provides a dedicated space for pupils in years 12 and 13, the majority of their lessons will still be held in the main school building.

The Love Lane school’s headteacher, David Fisher, also used the opportunity to celebrate its chair of governors Frances Stickley’s 24 years of “relentless service” to the school community, as she was presented with a plaque to be placed in the new building.
