Work to dismantle a crane, which will part close a major town centre road, has been pushed back.
The crane outside the Regal Construction site by Beechen Grove was due to come down starting from tomorrow, until March 10, and a lane closure was planned during this time.
Instead, the dismantling there is now set to take place between March 15 and March 24. The necessary lane closure is “likely” to cause delays in Beechen Grove, according to One Network.

Developer Regal London celebrated the topping out of its tower between Beechen Grove and Clarendon Road (next to Leonardo Hotel Watford, formerly Jurys Inn), The Clarendon, in January.
Between March 1 and 10 there is still expected to be “some carriageway incursion” and possible delays while the crane is in operation.

The closure will be in place from 10am to 5am daily, from March 3 to March 21 and will affect all approaches to the roundabout including Stephenson Way, North Western Avenue and Otterspool Way.
A diversion will be in place.
