Watford Junction to London Euston trains have been cancelled as a line is blocked.

A points failure at Harrow & Wealdstone station has caused cancellations for the London Overground this afternoon (March 1), with no trains due to run until the early evening.

All London Overground services from Watford Junction have not run since around 2pm, and although disruption was initially only expected to last until 3.15pm this was subsequently extended to at least 4.15pm.

At 3.05pm National Rail confirmed that there will be no Overground trains running between Watford Junction and London Euston until around 6.15pm

West Midlands Trains services to London Euston from Watford Junction are continuing to run as normal.

Tickets can be used on local buses via any reasonable route.

A points failure means there is a fault with the movable pieces of track which allow trains to move from one line to another.

As a result of a separate issue, the lifts are out of order between platform seven and the entrance at Watford Junction.
