Police have confirmed that trains between Watford and London Euston were stopped after a person fell on the tracks.

Watford commuters’ journeys faced significant disruption after 7.30pm last night (March 20).

London Overground lines were closed until around 8pm. Even after they were reopened, delays of up to 25 minutes continued until around 10.30pm with the issue announced as a “trespass” on the tracks in Wembley.

This morning, British Transport Police have confirmed more detail about exactly what happened.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers were called to Wembley Central station just after 7.30pm yesterday to a reports a person had fallen on the tracks.

“Officers attended and they were taken to a place of safety.”
