Police are investigating after more than £300 of fuel was stolen from a service station.

Two CCTV images of a man were shared by Three Rivers Police as they are trying to identify him following the theft at the BP Service Station in Uxbridge Road, Mill End, at around 5.30pm on Monday (April 15).

It was reported that three tanks taken out of a black VW Passat were filled on the forecourt before the driver made off without paying.

A Herts Police spokesperson said: “If you recognise the man who is believed to have been in the area at the time, or have information to assist enquiries, please contact PC Christian Gottman by email via christian.gottmann@herts.police.uk.”

Separate appeal

The image was the second appeal for information after a theft from the same service station this month.

A different CCTV image of a man was shared after 18 bottles of alcohol were stolen at around 2.30pm on Sunday, April 7.
