Watford drivers face travel disruption as two major roads are set to close in the next two weeks.

The latest list of planned works shows that overnight closures are planned on the A405 and M25 which will both cause delays of up to 30 minutes.

The North Orbital Road/A405 will shut in both directions between the M1 and junction 21a of the M25 from 10pm on Saturday, April 27, until 6am on Sunday.

The carriageway and slip roads will be closed for testing works with diversions on National Highways and local roads.

The M25 will also close overnight clockwise between junctions 20 and 21 from May 6 to 11, as resurfacing works are carried out on the carriageway and slip roads.

Other road closures:

Clarendon Road is set to be closed to vehicles on Saturdays and Sundays between April 27 and May 12 to enable a crane to be dismantled in the town centre.

A diversion will be in operation as the road shuts to allow a mobile crane operation to dismantle a tower crane outside the construction site of the 25-storey tower.
