Four homes burgled over weekend as police probes launched

Police are seeking information after four homes in the area were burgled in recent days.

Between 4.40pm and 8.45pm on Friday (December 13), offenders smashed a glass panel next to the front door of a property in Paynesfield Road, Bushey Heath.

“It is unknown at this time what, if anything, has been taken,” an alert shared via Herts Police’s Herts Connected platform on Saturday said.

Anyone who has information relating to it, or who has captured relevant footage on CCTV or doorbell cameras, has been asked to contact police and quote crime reference number 41/106355/24.

The back window to another property, in Berry Lane, Rickmansworth, was smashed at 6.15pm on the same evening. The house was ransacked and upstairs windows were left open.

The fuse box had been switched off, while an external alarm box and the master alarm panel were damaged. The relevant crime reference number is 41/106326/24.

Police are also seeking information about a home in Bushey Mill Crescent, Watford, being burgled at 9.05pm on Saturday. Information can be reported with the reference 41/106654/24.

Between 8.10pm on Sunday and 4.55am today (December 16), burglars also got into a home in Lytham Avenue, South Oxhey, by damaging the front door and a secondary porch door.

The property, near the junction with Ilkley Road, was ransacked before the burglars left in an unknown direction. The relevant crime reference number is 41/106934/24.
