Jewellery was among items stolen after two homes were broken into through upstairs windows.
A burglar climbed a drainpipe to get onto the flat roof of a home in Newlands Avenue, Radlett, at around 8pm on Friday, November 28.
The bathroom window was then forced and they ransacked the home, stealing items.
They are thought to have entered the property through the back garden.
Herts Police shared an appeal for information via the Herts Connected platform.

Abbots Langley burglary
Another appeal over a separate burglary was shared the next day.
At least one burglar entered a home in Ash Close, Abbots Langley, between November 25 and 29, by opening a window above the garage.
Jewellery was taken before the burglar fled.
