The new headteacher for a Watford secondary school has said she is “immensely proud” as her appointment is announced.
Chris Wilshaw will take over as the 20th headteacher of Watford Grammar School for Girls from September 1, 2026.
As the current senior deputy headteacher, she is well known in the school community and has been leading the school one day per week over the past year following headteacher Sylvia Tai moving to a four-day working week.
