Three nurseries around Watford have been sold to a nursery group with 43 settings across the UK.
Boys & Girls Nursery group was founded in 2007 by husband-and-wife team Jon and Natasha Kirby and has since grown to offer 334 places across its locations.
This week, business broker Christie & Co announced the sale of the group to Happy Days Nurseries.
The former owners said: “We received a number of strong offers, reflecting the quality and reputation of our group.
“After careful consideration, we chose Happy Days because we believe they are the right fit for our children, families and team.
“Their values closely mirror our own and we are confident they will build on the strong foundations we’ve created while ensuring a smooth and positive transition.”
Boys & Girls has three locations in Hertfordshire, in Loates Lane, Watford; Croxley Park, off Ascot Road; and Chorleywood Close, Rickmansworth, as well as one in Stanmore which was also included in the sale.

Happy Days Nurseries mergers and acquisitions director Marcia Viccars said: “This is an exciting step for Happy Days as we continue to grow our family of nurseries.
“Boys & Girls has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality early years education and we’re proud to welcome their talented teams, children and families into our organisation.
“We look forward to building on this strong foundation together.”
The group was sold for an undisclosed price.
