Police have arrested a 19-year-old from Watford after an “offensive gesture” was allegedly made outside a synagogue.
The arrest on Friday (May 22) follows reports of a “hate-related incident”, described as a racially aggravated public order offence, in Croxdale Road, Borehamwood, earlier this month.
Herts Police reviewed CCTV to identify a suspect before arresting the teenager in connection with the alleged offence.
He has been released on bail with “strict” conditions, including barring him from Croxdale Road or attending any synagogues in England.
