Watford Junction trains have been cancelled due to a broken rail toward London, with disruption lasting all day.
Services will run at a reduced speed on some lines for the rest of today (June 6), National Rail has confirmed, after it became clear overnight repairs would be needed to fully fix the issue.
Trains between Tring and London Euston are cancelled outright, while others appear to be largely running as normal or with some delays.

Ticket acceptance is in place.
- Avanti West Coast says they can be used at no extra cost on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before or after the booked train.
- London Northwestern Railways says they can be used on other London Northwestern Railway services that are still running between the stations.

London Overground, Abbey Line, and Southern trains are all running as normal.
Those facing delays may be entitled to compensation.
It was initially shared that disruption was expected to last until 9am, in an alert just after 6.30am, before a National Rail spokesperson confirmed overnight work would be needed and “therefore disruption is expected until the end of the day” just after 8.30am.
