Striker Depo Mebude is set to complete a permanent transfer to Belgian club Oostende.

It’s understood to be a permanent deal with no fee, although the Hornets have inserted a sell-on clause in the deal.

The 21-year-old forward moved to Vicarage Road from Scottish side Rangers in July 2021, but suffered a back injury later in pre-season.

Mebude then joined AFC Wimbledon on loan, where he scored twice in 32 outings.

The Scottish Under-21 international did not make a first-team appearance for the Hornets.
