A 19-year-old is fighting for his life following a crash that saw two people arrested.
The collision was in West Hyde on Saturday, August 20, and involved a blue Kia Sorrento travelling on Copper Mill Lane towards Old Uxbridge Road.
At around 4.30pm emergency services including an air ambulance were called after the car left the carriageway and collided with a wooden fence.
One occupant, a 19-year-old man, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and currently remains in a life-threatening condition.
Two occupants also travelling in the car, aged 16 and 19, were arrested “for various offences relating to the incident”, police said.
A Herts Police spokesperson has since confirmed they were arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.
Another occupant fled the scene and is still at large.
