More than 600 potential officers have signed up for a police jobs fair, as Hertfordshire Constabulary pushes recruitment.

The fair, next Thursday (September 8), has had 660 people sign up, with time left for more.

Job seekers are invited to police headquarters in Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, to take a tour and hear what careers are on offer.

Jobs on offer include police officers, detectives, community support officers, call handlers, business and finance support, assistants, HR, and press roles.

Police and Crime Commissioner David Lloyd says he is pushing police recruitment to tackle crime and there are currently more officers than ever in Hertfordshire.
