A 24-year-old has been arrested after someone was “seen acting suspiciously” around the cars outside a gym.

Hertfordshire Constabulary were called at around 12.55pm yesterday (April 25) to reports of suspicious activity in the David Lloyd Leisure Club car park in Hartspring Lane, Bushey.

When police arrived they arrested the man, who remains in police custody at this time, on suspicion of theft from a vehicle and interfering with a motor vehicle.

Seperate arson appeal

Hertfordshire Constabulary appealed for witnesses and CCTV footage after a car was deliberately set on fire in Borehamwood, on April 21.

It started between 3am and 4am, then spread to a second car parked nearby, in Paxton Court, off Manor Way.

Police described their suspect as a white man of a large build, wearing jeans and a hoodie.

PC Kim Aylward-Jones said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who caught anything unusual on CCTV."
