“Officers were assisting the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) with a controlled explosion after several objects were found within a property in Abbots Langley.”

Police further confirmed that the objects were safely destroyed after the cordon was put in place and that they do not believe there is any wider threat to the public related to the objects.

The Watford Observer has contacted Herts Police for more information on the nature of the “objects” this morning. Updates to follow later today.

Langleybury Lane runs between Hunton Bridge and The Grove Hotel.
