An online paedophile hunter group's “sting” has led to an arrest over sexual offences.
Footage from a live stream video broadcast on Thursday night (February 29) showed a confrontation between the group Child Protection Team UK and a man in Bushey.
At the end of the video, police arrived and the group, who were recording, left the scene.
On Friday afternoon (March 1), a Herts Police spokesperson confirmed an arrest was made.
“At around 8.25pm yesterday a 39-year-old man from Hertfordshire was arrested in connection with sexual offences,” they said.
“The man has been released on police bail and enquiries are ongoing.”

It comes less than a week after the force arrested a 66-year-old man from Leavesden on suspicion of causing or inciting a female child under 16 to engage in sexual on Sunday (February 25).
Herts Police have confirmed he has been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue.
That arrest similarly followed a live stream video being shared online in a “sting” carried out by a different group.
