Police have confirmed they arrested a man on suspicion of “inciting a child to sexual activity” after a “sting” video was shared online.

On Sunday (February 25), Herts Police arrested a 66-year-old man from Leavesden on suspicion of causing or inciting a female child under 16 to engage in sexual activity (no penetration).

A live stream video, which has since been removed from social media, was shared by the group STOP Stings from the Leavesden area that night.

A further post was then made congratulating a team from the group after they experienced a “tough sting” following which a Watford man was arrested.

Herts Police have confirmed he has been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue.
