A man is due in crown court over alleged sexual offences against a 13-year-old girl and mailing an “indecent or obscene” book.
Orlando Bain, of Oxhey Drive in South Oxhey, appeared in Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (June 7) over eight charges.
The 19-year-old pleaded not guilty or did not indicate a plea for each and was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing.
It is alleged that he committed sexual assault (touching) on a 13-year-old girl, as an 18-year-old in April 2024, and met a 13-year-old girl at King's Cross Station following grooming with intent to commit sexual assault on the same day.
He is also accused of taking a child "so as to remove her from a person having lawful control" for a four-day period starting a day before the alleged sexual assault.
A week earlier he allegedly caused a 13-year-old to look at an image of himself engaged in sexual activity.

In December 2023, when he was 17, he is accused of inciting a 12-year-old girl to expose herself over a video call.
Two other charges are for making indecent category A and B photographs of a child, the most serious classifications.
The final charge, for August 2024, alleges that he sent by post a postal packet enclosing “an indecent or obscene article, namely a book titled ‘Tis Pity She's a Whore’”.
Bain is next set to appear at St Albans Crown Court on July 8, for trial.
