Forward Ignacio Pussetto has joined Italian side Sampdoria for the rest of the season on loan, with an option to buy at the end.

The 26-year-old Argentinian made seven Premier League appearances for the Hornets (all as a substitute) after joining from Udinese in January 2020.

However, after two further brief outings from the bench at the start of the 2020/21 season, he has spent the remainder of the time out on loan back at Udinese.

He now heads back to Serie A to join Sampdoria, who currently sit 17th in the table without a win in their first five league games, during which time they have only scored once.
