Police are investigating after a burglar from Hertfordshire escaped from prison.

Suffolk Police believe that Joshua Lewis, previously from Norfolk, and Levi Mitchell, previously from Hertfordshire, absconded from Hollesley Bay Prison, in Suffolk, together.

The prisoners were reported missing just before 7pm on Saturday evening (October 21).

Levi Mitchell is described as 5ft 10ins tall, with ginger hair and blue eyes. He is apparently of slight build with a goatee and has a birthmark on his left arm and hand.

The 39-year-old, who police confirmed has links to the Harpenden area, was serving a sentence for multiple burglary offences.
