A statue worth more than £10,000 has reportedly been stolen from a luxury hotel near Watford.

Herts Police have released an image of a statue of a leaping woman which went missing from the grounds of The Grove Hotel, off Hempstead Road, sometime between October 13 and October 25 .

The force added that it is estimated to be worth around £11,500 and appealed for information from the public.

It follows a similar incident, in June this year, when pairs of bronze sculptures were stolen from The Grove Hotel’s grounds on two occasions.

Herts Police issued an appeal for information on the sculptures, and released images of them, at the time.

Today (November 22), PC Charlotte Bartlett said: “I am appealing to the public for any information about what happened to this distinctive statue.
